081117 Quick response, teamwork, and fast knockdown contributed to the outcome of this fire. Fire was contained to garage. Occupants noticed the fire and evacuated immediately to call 911. 05/05/2017 - Structure Fire

050517 Taylor Twp Fire fighters responded to a reported fully involved garage fire at 4827 S 200 East on 5/5/2017 at 814pm. Automatic aid was responding from Harrison Twp and Howard County EMA Fire Departments. Smoke could be seen as companies turned onto SR 26 and additional resources were requested from Greentown, Cicero twp, Sharpsville VFD, and Wildkat Twp. E82 arrived at 823pm to find an attached garage, 2 vehicles, and a 5th wheel camper fully engulfed in flames. Fire was extending into the house. Crews from E82 deployed a hoseline from the exterior to cut off the flames into the house. E81 arrived on scene 3 minutes later and advanced a hoseline into the residence to extinguish the fire inside the house stopping the advancement of the fire any further. Companies then focused their efforts on extinguishing the vehicles, garage, and 5th wheel camper. The fire was marked under control at 915pm. Companies then performed overhaul to assure complete extinguishment. Companies left the scene at 1256am....
